Paula Couto joined Licks Attorney’s São Paulo Office as an Attorney at Law in 2022. Before joining Licks Attorneys, Ms. Couto was an Associate at a large full-service law firm based in Rio de Janeiro, where she worked in the area of Intellectual Property and Information Technology. Paula’s practice has focused on complex litigation and leading cases involving patents, unfair competition, trademarks, copyright, regulatory compliance and technology. Throughout this period, Ms. Couto has gained experience advising multinational clients on complex litigation and regulatory issues in a variety of matters from different sectors, such as pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. She also has experience in administrative proceedings before the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI) and Brazilian FDA (ANVISA).
