Advisor at Licks Attorneys since 2014, Brazilian Ambassador Regis Arslanian was announced partner in May 2017, appointed to chair Licks Attorneys government relations, regulatory affairs and international policy group. Having earned his law degree prior to joining the Brazilian Foreign Service (Itamaraty) he is a practising attorney, member of the Brazilian Bar Association.After a successful career as a seasoned diplomat with international business experience, and having served in the Brazilian Embassies in Germany, Venezuela, the US (DCM in Washington DC), as well as in the Brazilian Missions to the UN (New York) and to Mercosur (Montevideo, as Ambassador), Ambassador Arslanian left, in 2012, the Foreign Service and, since then, provides strategic legal advice to companies and industry associations to overcome specific legal, regulatory and political challenges posed by agencies and officials. He is a published author in international trade and regulation, regarded as an expert in multilateral and bilateral trade negotiations and dispute settlement, and an accomplished speaker in diverse fora.
